This beachside bar and grill serves casual American fare and whiskey-based co*cktails right on the sand. It's a great place to have a fun day with friends, and the service is attentive and friendly.

View was gorgeous at sunset. Make a reservation, if not , good luck to you. Food was satisfying. Florida your seafood at lower and high end levels has not impressed me yet. The atmosphere was great the night I went. I was not inside l, didn't go inside so can't comment on its interior. End of the day unwind.....go ! It is worth it. Food was not bad it may have been me and not being in the mood for it.
I haven't been here in 30+ years. Restaurant renovated and has a souvenir shop when you walk in. There is beach access and patio seating overlooking beach. Also window view seating overlooking beach. The food wasn't the best, I've had better. I had crab shrimp topped salmon. My server was friendly and very accommodating with my drink and bread choice. I would go back for atmosphere. Oh forgot $6 valet charge or paid city parking $1.75 for 2 hours. I parked in city parking. It's a hot walk. I watched some sexy men playing volleyball, ooolala nice view
We sat indoors w/ a lovely view since it was windy and a bit chilly. Our server, Isabella was attentive for the most part, I did order Dave’s margarita which had a grand mariner floater, always nice to see that added w/o asking, $14. We were a party of 4, friends ordered the gumbo, jambalaya and wings. The gumbo had a couple bites of andouille sausage and shrimp in a large bowl for a starter. The jambalaya was tasty and spicy as to be expected, and she added 4 scallops as an up charge if only $4. Perfect. Both orders of wings(garlic Parmesan and whiskey bbq) were fine but lacking flavor and a bit overdone. My burger needed salt. The drinks were the best part of the meal. For the atmosphere, beach vibe, I’d probably go again for drinks only w/ nicer weather and eat elsewhere.

I ate here for several nights during a recent work trip. The location is great providing lovely beach views for the outdoor tables. The menu is pretty varied and I enjoyed everything that I tried. Service was good overall, nice and cheerful from a busy young team. There is a really nice little beach bar on the sand next door but I am not sure if that is actually part of Whisky Joe's.
Whiskey Joe's is a tourist spot on weekends. Be smart if you're traveling; visit early during a week day. We absolutely loved the view and food during our Tuesday morning visit. We got there around 11:30 am. There was no line for the beach seating, and our food and drinks were done relatively quickly! We ate at one of the tables, then enjoyed more drinks right at the water, bathing in the sun! I give 4 stars because it was a bit overpriced, and the fish and chips was soggy. The Gator bites were worth trying, and the tacos were very good! The bartenders outside were very friendly and fast. I would definitely go back around the same day/time for more tacos!
