It appears you are using Turbo Tax Deluxe, which has a fee for your Federal plus a separate fee for your State.
Also if you opted to have your fees deducted from your refund, there is also a fee for this.

You can review the fees associated with your refund by following the instructions below:

1. After signing in to TurboTax, open or continue your return.
2. SelectTax Toolson the left side of the screen and thenTools.
3. ATools Centerbox will pop up on your screen.
4. Select theMy Feesbox on the right.

Tip:If these instructions don't work (for example, on your mobile device) open theFilesection and then proceed to theReview Your Order screen. This also shows the breakdown of your charges.

State tax return when using the Deluxe edition or higher - $40

Option to pay the TurboTax account fees with the federal tax refund - service charge $40

Thus - $120

To qualify for free 2020 federal and state tax returns with the IRS Free File Program delivered by TurboTax, you'll need to meet at least one of these requirements:

• A maximum 2020 adjusted gross income (AGI) of $39,000; or
• You qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC); or
• You served as active duty military (including Reservists and National Guard) with a maximum 2020 AGI of $72,000 (you'll also need a military-issued W-2).

I paid $40 for federal and $40 for state in February. My son tried to file his and it's now $60 for federal and $50 for state. We always pay for filing and have direct deposit of refunds. Online support doesn't work. He is unable to select a cheaper version. I have used turbo tax for over 15 yrs and this will be the last year.
