Born in Lawrence, Kansas, moved to Central Florida in 1947 to attend Rollins College. She and Mr. Holton met in 1947 and were married in 1948. Mrs. Holton graduated in 1949 with a BS in Music and later received her MS in Music.

Mrs. Holton was a program director and talk show host in the 1940's in Wilmington, Delaware and Newburg, NY. She worked with her husband in operating Holton Insurance in the 1950's. She also worked as an elementary school music teacher in Seminole County for 20 years before retirement in 1981. After retirement she and her husband traveled extensively.

Music had always been her major interest. She sang extensively throughout her life including years of active participation in her church choir. Mrs. Holton was a part owner of the Oak Ridger, a daily paper in Oak Ridge, TN. The Oak Ridger was founded by Mrs.

Holton's parents, Alfred G. and Julia Hill. Mrs. Holton was a great wife, a tremendous mother and an adored grandmother. Survivors include; her husband, Raymond O.
