My husband is celiac and when we explained this the the hostess, we had the owners come out and walk through the entire menu with us to explain what was gluten free or what could be modified! “I brought my husband to Portuguese House for dinner for his birthday. We will definitely be back! The food was excellent, the service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. He had the Franceshina a Porto, I had the Vegetable Risotto, and we shared the Portuguese Custard Tart with Ice Cream. All dishes were excellent!”

“When we had shown up they had run out of some of the menu items because they're so good and ended up being crazy busy over the weekend, but they made absolute sure we were happy when we left because we couldn't order exactly what we wanted. Overall the food was fantastic, the service even better, and the fact that they're celiac friendly is a massive bonus. “Went on a Friday night so it was busier than normal. Initial greeting very friendly, waited for table at the bar, seated had apps and entrees both beyond expectations-very good. Overall good food at decent price point.”

“The baby size is was a great amount of ice cream; this was what we saw most people were ordering. The small (what I ordered) was larger than expected. It was almost 2-2.5 very large scoops on a tiny cone. The large size must be gargantuan! Good service, selection and quantity.”

“Came here while visiting the Muskoka area on a weekend.We got the PARMAGARLIC PIZZA BREAD, MADE IN CANADIAN BURGER and THE PARMER. The all-caps are because I copy pasted it from their online menu to be more accurate.I would skip the parmer because the chicken breast was tiny, and overloaded with spaghetti. Also the garlic bread was below average. All other dishes were great.Parking: Parking right at the entrance of the store next to the Freshco supermarket.”

“Just took a chance and dropped in for supper at Wimpy’s Dinner in Huntsville, on a sunny evening. Boy did we find a gem. They have a patio on the upper floor with a beautiful view of the nearby lake, which is the perfect place to eat a meal on a warm summer evening. “Parking: I have mobility problems but do not yet require a wheelchair however negotiating the hill back up to the parking lot after dinner was quite a challenge as it was quite steep towards the top.The meal was absolutely delicious! The Caesar salad was really good and the rack of lamb was simply the best ever. My compliments to the chef for a wonderful dining experience. I was also very impressed with our waitress who was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and really attentive to our needs.But I was disappointed in the decor which was quite dull and uninspiring and while the entertainer was very good unfortunately the music was so loud that it made conversation extremely challenging.Having said this, I found that the excellence of the meal compensated for the detriments so I would most definitely will return. But please, please turn the music down!”

“I drive for 2 1/2 hours just to go to this place for their incredible blackened fish tacos. I’ve never tasted such delicious fish tacos anywhere else!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair users may struggle if they are crowded. The place is accessible but there’s a lot of people there and it’s often noisy so you may not be heard.”

We still think ESM has some of the best chicken parmagiana out there, although we agreed the cesar salad dressing was frankly, devoid of taste? “The place is located in the Huntsville downtown area. So finding parking might still be a challenge. We have to go around the block a couple of times to find one empty slot. The restaurant is sort of a mix of India ,indo-chinese and Nepalese ( and some Thai curries as well ). They have plenty of tables and were not at all crowded on Saturday afternoon. The food was good and I got no complaints. Prices are cheap compared to the Toronto area.”

“Jen was amazing! We came in about 15 minutes to closing and Jen was just so happy to serve us! Food was hot and fresh and delicious! Will definitely be coming in again!”

“Seems to be a good location overall. Service is good, food is good and they usually have good stock. Washrooms are decently clean.The one downside is they seem to be a bit short-staffed, where the same person taking orders would then have to go and make the food for the order. This resulted in longer than usual wait times in line (inside). This was fine for us, but may be different if you're in a hurry.”
