First Encounter

Weapon Recommendations : None specific. Add clear / whatever you prefer

Shattered Throne Guide (1)

Starting the dungeon, you will be faced with a very large open space. This is probably the most time consuming encounter in this dungeon.

After killing the first taken Knight, a symbol will appear in the first room. The symbol is random and changes in every attempt of the dungeon.

With the new symbol, you will need to go to its location found on the map shown here. You will need to repeat this until you have visited all symbol in the order they appear. Defeating the final enemy will reward end the encounter, and a door will open in the floor. Follow it to the next encounter.

Bridge and Pillar rooms

After the first encounter, follow the path until you reach the side of a cliff, you’ll need to jump down, and clear enemies as you go.

After defeating all the enemies, you will reach a large doorway that opens up to a large room.

At this point, you may want to change to any long range weapons (scout rifle / bow / sniper, etc)

There will be a number of taken Hobgoblins on either side of this large room, as well as taken Knights and taken Phallanx’s. Eliminate all enemies in this room and proceed to the next one. *Note that you don’t need to defeat these enemies, however it does make it much easier to traverse the bridge.

Shattered Throne Guide (5)

Once you’ve reach this room, there will be small beams connecting the pillars together in this room. You will need to walk on these beams from pillar to pillar until you reach the other side.

As you progress, taken Ogres and blights will spawn at the base of each pillar across the room. Take out the Ogres with your ranged weapons, they have a powerful knock-back attack that will easily knock you off your beam. Avoid the pillars with the taken orbs as they have smaller orbs that circle the pillar.

Once you’ve reached the other side, you will walk through a doorway, this area will slow you to a walking speed, prevent you from double jumping, and you will no longer regenerate health while in the field.

Thrallway

In the Thrallway, you will find the first secret chest.

After walking into the slowed room, continue forward until you reach a railing and need to turn left to continue. Center yourself to the railing and jump down. There will be a small beam to land on at the bottom.

Shattered Throne Guide (6)

This is the railing you’ll stop at, you can almost make out the beam you’ll want to land on by looking down.

Shattered Throne Guide (7)

There will be a small beam in the center, at the bottom of the pit, falling any further will kill you. Land on the beam to head into the room.

Shattered Throne Guide (8)

The secret chest will be in a small room at the end of the beam. Collect the chest and jump into the portal behind it. It will bring you back to the top of the room, prior to jumping over the rail.

Shattered Throne Guide (9)

Follow the rest of the path in the slow room, until you reach a balcony and jump over it through the taken film to leave.

Make your way across to the next area, avoid the taken explosions on the wall to the left. Follow the path to the next group of enemies on the top right stairway. Eliminate the enemies and follow the corridor to the first boss encounter.

Second Encounter - Vorgeth

Weapon Recommendations : Void weapon for shields. Rockets or Grenade Launchers for boss, Swords if you have a Well of Radiance.

Recommend taking a void weapon to break the shields of the witches that will spawn around the room.

The premise, you need to kill 4 witches around the map, as you do, they will each drop an orb that needs to be collected. These orbs provide a buff that will last 45 seconds after pickup. This timer is refreshed with each orb pickup. You need to kill the next witch within that time until you’ve collected all 4.

Once you have collected 4, you can deposit them at any of the 4 deposit locations.

After they are deposited, the boss will now be damageable. The boss is a taken Orgre, and will shoot you from range, or stomp you up close. It will also shoot taken orbs that track you. Their are a couple different strategies that can be used. A Well Warlock with a sword, or from range for survivability. You can also use any high damaging supers like Nova Bomb, Thundercrash, Blade Barrage to melt the boss as quickly as possible.

If you do not kill the boss within the timing of the first damage phase, rinse and repeat the above steps again until you can damage the boss again.

Ascension

After the boss room, there will be a elevator, surrounded by 4 witches with solar shields. Eliminate them but do not go up the elevatoryet.

Head to the right side of the platform. Consume a Tincture of Queensfoil, one should have been received from the first secret chest.

Shattered Throne Guide (13)

After consuming it, invisible platforms should start appearing as shown. Follow them up to the second secret chest. Once collected, head back and go up the elevator.

A series of elevators and hallways are between you and the final boss. Follow them and clear the enemies on the way.

Shattered Throne Guide (17)

The final stretch will have a long set of taken explosions along a wall. Once passed, head up the final elevator to the top.

Final Encounter - Dul Incaru

Weapon Recommendations : Wardcliff Coil. Due to the interaction with this rocket and the final boss, it is easily the best damage choice.

Shattered Throne Guide (18)

You might find the final boss to be easier to defeat then the Orgre boss from earlier. There are 3 giant Knights in the middle of the room. Defeat all of them to get a damage buff, up to x3.
All Knights need to be defeat at the same time. Once you pick up one of the orbs, the timer for the damage buff will not reset by picking up further orbs.

A well placed super at the beginning while they are standing together works well. Alternatively, you can damage them evenly to bring them down slowly and still at the same time. Once one buff is picked up, the damage phase can start. Although having all 3 buffs gives the best damage bonus against the boss. If you are taking down the Knights slowly, a large floating crystal may spawn on the left, right or back center of the arena. The crystal will cause the Knights to be immune. Shoot the crystal and the Knights will be damageable again.

If done accordingly, you should manage to defeat the boss in 1 phase, if not, jump onto the center platform in the room before your damage buff timer runs out. If the damage buff timer runs out, the player will die. After jumping on the center platform, the boss will be immune and the 3 Knights will respawn. Repeat the steps from your first phase and repeat.
