Orange Creamsicle Cookies arewonderful cookies! I love oranges, and I love white chocolate, and I love vanilla. It’s a great combination for a cookie. The essence of the orange zest while I was stirring the ingredients together was fabulous.

These cookies are easy to make and have such a luscious, scrumptious taste that melt in your mouth. They remind you of the delicious orange cream popsicles we used to eat as kids. I’m featuring these cookies in our cookie baking extravaganza this year. I hope you will enjoy them.

I looked high and low for white chocolate chips but could not find any so I used vanilla chips instead. They still turned out fantastic. Even Ghiardelli’s chocolate chips had every kind of chip but white chocolate. Vanilla chips are not the same as they don’t have cocoa in the chip, but they give this cookie and amazing flavor nonetheless.

Orange Creamsicle Cookies are sensational. Whether you use white chocolate chips or vanilla chips,I’m sure you and your family will love these cookies. Try them out for holiday baking–each way! In the Dallas metroplex area I looked for weeksfor white chocolate chips at area grocery stores.

I finally found them at Kroger’s as a regularly stocked item. If you’re looking for a wonderful orange-flavored cookie with a little something extra–then this cookie has it. Try it out on your company this year. They will surely be delighted.

When I first posted this recipe in November 2012, my pictures were taken with an iPhone so they were a little blurry. Not only that, but my background presentation was so busy with candy canes and other Christmas decorations that it was difficult distinguishing the cookies from one another.

I recently remade these lovely cookies (April 2015) for a family who just had a baby in our church. This time I made them with white chocolate chips (yay!), so they were bursting with chocolate (rather than vanilla) flavor. Even though the cookies were wonderful the first time, they were even more so this time. Enjoy.

Orange Creamsicle Cookies are some of the most delicious you’ll ever eat!

Orange Creamsicle Cookies are to die for! Whether you use white chocolate chips or vanilla chips each way is exotic and wonderful!

Orange Creamsicle Cookies are ideal for holiday baking.

Here’s what I did.

I used these ingredients.

Soften butter and put in amixing bowl.Add sugar, brown sugar, eggs, orange zest, salt, baking soda and vanilla.

Mix ingredients together with an electric mixer.

Add UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour. Bleached flour toughens cookies.Add white chocolate chips.

Stir all ingredients together with a wooden spoon.

Spray cookie sheets with cooking spray. The original recipe called for this to be on UNGREASED cookie sheets. I’m so glad I sprayed them. I think they would have stuck to the pan otherwise.Roll the dough into balls. This dough did not have the texture to drop by spoonfuls even though that’s what the original recipe said to do.

Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. My cookies took about 15 minutes.

Orange Creamsicle Cookies are an outstanding cookie your whole family will love!

These cookies can really be made anytime of the year because the ingredients are available year round. I recommend Orange Creamsicle Cookies for tailgating parties, backyard barbecues, potlucks or any family get-together.
