Ramadan Kareem 🌙 Tips for people like me who are experiencing their first Ramadan in a Muslim country. 🔅 **Why are meetings shorter during Ramadan?** Well, life changes in Ramadan with more time spent with family. A typical daily schedule for most might look something like this:🔹 Praying Fajr at the mosque, where many stay to read the Quran for various lengths of time before returning home to sleep.🔹 Then, waking up for work starts around 9-10 AM and ends around 2-3 PM, with work hours being just 6 hours during Ramadan.🔹 Returning home to rest in the afternoon.🔹 At sunset, break the fast with the family at home with dates, coffee, yogurt, and fruits or sweets. I stick to Saudi coffee, dates, and fruits.🔹 Praying Maghrib at the mosque, then spending a few hours with the family for dinner.🔹 Heading out for Isha and Taraweeh prayers, which last about an hour.🔹 Afterwards, social or business visits commence until around midnight or 1 AM.🔹 Returning to sleep and waking up just before dawn for the pre-dawn meal, Suhoor. #ramadan2024 Australian Saudi Business Forum Visit Saudi

As we approach the holy month of Ramadan, let's be mindful of our colleagues who are fasting. If you're an employer, consider offering flexible options for meals. For those fasting, let's practice self-restraint and not inconvenience our non-fasting colleagues. The essence of fasting is to maintain normalcy while observing this sacred tradition. Wishing everyone a blessed Ramadan ahead. #ramadan2024 #WorkplaceConsideration#diversityandinclusion

💗 Supporting those in the workplace during Ramadan. Today marks the 12th day of Ramadan here in the UK. If you have colleagues or friends who celebrate, here are a few ways you can show your support: 👇🏼 🗓 Scheduling Meetings - Try to make sure these are scheduled for mornings / early afternoon to ensure your colleagues have the highest energy levels, - Avoid setting meetings around iftar - Post-fast meal where Muslims will gather with friends and family to eat and celebrate.🤸♀️ Be Flexible. - Now, I don't mean start cartwheeling or doing the splits around the office (although this would help the day go faster!)- Allow your colleagues time and more regular breaks when needed.🗣 Talk. Educate yourself and those around you. - As a non-Muslim, I've learned a lot just through talking. Having open discussions and being able to allow myself to improve. (I've still got a long way to go!) - If someone doesn't want to talk about a certain topic however, remain respectful. There are so so many ways you can show your support during Ramadan! Let me know any key areas I've missed in the comments!Ramadan Mubarak to my Muslim network ✨#Ramadan2024 #Ramadan #oilandgas

🌙 Over the past few years, I’ve participated in Ramadan fasting, despite the fact I’m not a Muslim. Here are five significant lessons I’ve gained from the experience: 1️⃣ Discovering the strength of my mind surpassed my expectations 2️⃣ A substantial increase in my focus and productivity 3️⃣ The tranquility of the night hours was a revelation 4️⃣ I learned to fast not only for the body but also for the mind and heart 5️⃣ A profound sense of gratitude and empathy grew within meHere are a few ways you can show support to your colleagues during Ramadan: ☪ Acknowledge and Respect – Show respect of their religious observance and understand their energy levels and schedules might differ during this period ☪ Flexible scheduling – offer flexibility in work hours to accommodate fasting employees who may need to adjust their schedules to accommodate prayer time or manager their energy levels ☪ Educate and Raise Awareness – take the opportunity to educate yourself and others☪ Offer Support – whether it’s lending a helping hand with tasks or checking in to see how they’re doing; small gestures can make a big difference. Ramadan Mubarak to all those who observe 🌙 #ramadan2024

An effective approach to balance media consumption in Ramadan is… #MindfulRamadan #LinkedInNewsMiddleEastRamadan is very special spiritual month that is considered as training for everyone to self discipline and control over what we want. Unfortunately people tend to miss the holy month opportunity and instead of control they excessively do everything. They eat too much food and spend most of the fasting hours either sleeping or behind the screens. All Arab countries offer less working hours in Ramadan by 25%. Yet our goals and objectives are the same therefore we need to be much more organized and balanced in Ramadan. It is not only about less hours online but also on the quality of the spent time. Link between the professional and personal objectives and the online browsing is the key success factor to avoid mindless scrolling and more hours without being productive. Ramadan is very good opportunity to learn how to have the right time for everything. Stay active and productive during the few remaining days on the holy month

Today is the first day of the Holy month of Ramadan for over 2BN Muslims worldwide. If you have colleagues observing - here are some friendly tips to keep in mind:- Wish them a "Happy Ramadan"- Ask if/how you can support them while fasting in any way- Ask if there will be any schedule changes in their work hours- Take a few minutes to personally look up what Ramadan is and ask them genuine kind questions to learn more about how they practice- Avoid saying "Not even water??" ;) or "That is crazy" ;)- Try not to schedule meetings right before/at sunset- If there are meetings scheduled for after dinner, please check in with them if the time works and offer flexibility on attending (recording the meeting; pushing out the time, rescheduling, etc.)- It is totally ok to eat/drink in front of people fasting, however if organizing meetings with food, let your colleague know ahead of time and ask if they would like to order something for when they break their fast.- When the end of Ramadan comes, please wish them a great day off and congratulate them on the month :)#ramadan2024 #Ramadantips #inclusionmatters
